Doctor Weber is American Board Certified and is one of only 500 officially (American College of Mohs Surgery, ACMMSCO) trained Mohs Surgeons in the United States. Dr. Weber received his training at the University of Pennsylvania and the Mayo Clinic. He trained under the world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Leonard Dzubow, who headed the Ivy League Mohs center of the University of Pennsylvania for two decades and was the long-standing editor-in-chief of the prestigious Journal of Dermatological Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Weber has published over 30 articles and chapters in respected peer-review medical journals and books. He has also delivered numerous center-stage lectures to doctors at prestigious medical meetings. Moreover, he holds numerous US Patents and many additional patents-pending.

Our office meticulously practices Mohs Surgery in addition to all other known safe forms of skin cancer removal. Mohs Surgery has the highest proven cure rate for skin cancer removal. Equally important, the Mohs method spares the most normal tissue. Mohs surgery is especially useful in curing skin cancers that have resisted treatments done by other doctors. Keep in mind, that the standard skin cancer removal methods may fail to cure tumors up to 20% of the time (depending upon body location and follow-up time). Mohs surgery was used to remove the skin cancer of President Reagan in August of 1987 just 6 months after well-known plastic surgeons failed and the cancer returned to endanger Mr. Reagan's nose. President Bush, Sr. also underwent Mohs surgery by American College of Mohs Surgery trained dermatologic surgeon (this time however, the plastic surgeons were not allowed to remove the cancer).

Dr. Weber received extensive and special training in certain cosmetic and plastic surgical procedures at the respected and historic Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. These procedures included laser surgery, liposuction surgery, hair restoration surgery, chemical peels, cosmetic eyelid surgery, scar modification/revision, among many others.

Dr. Weber's laser surgical experience spans three decades. He designed, produced, and authored a major study on laser surgery with the National Institutes of Health. Currently, Dr. Weber has patents on a specialty laser surgery procedures. Dr. Weber also has experience using many different cosmetic surgical lasers.

Dr. Weber has lectured to the prestigious American Academy of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Also, he authored three well-received publications in the prestigious journal Ophthalmic Surgery (reprints available upon request). Dr. Weber was trained by the former Chief of Eye Plastic Surgery, Dr. Allen Wulc, at the world famous Sheie Eye Clinic of the University of Pennsylvania. Since then, Dr. Weber has pioneered many improvements regarding the use of laser in combination with cosmetic eyelid surgery to yield the most natural results possible. Dr. Weber was one of the first doctors in Florida officially trained in a residency setting to perform the transconjunctival blepharoplasty.
